New Classic Colomba, 1kg Ingredients Brands|Italian Ingredients

Muzzi’s classic Easter colomba cake is flavoured with candied orange peel and almonds. These celebration cakes are traditionally made on Good Friday and enjoyed on Easter Sunday. Traditionally shaped like a dove, they make a beautiful Easter centrepiece. Enjoy a slice with a cup of tea, or surprise friends and family with a stunning Easter gift.

The colomba is made using a slow-leavened sourdough method, with fresh eggs and Italian sugar. The candied oranges come from southern Italy, and are chosen for their superior flesh and aroma. Plus the butter is made from cows who graze on open grasslands, enriching their milk with even more flavour.

Muzzi was founded in the 18th Century by Master Muzzi in the Umbrian town Foligno, Italy. Muzzi’s aniseed marzipan recipe proved a great success with the nobility at the time, and his business grew into breads and pastries. Today, the brand makes some of the best celebration breads, panforte and panettone.
