Discount Veneto Candied Green Walnuts, 250g Ingredients Brands|Italian Ingredients

Veneto candied green walnuts are sweet, nutty and slightly spiced, making them an ideal accompaniment to a cheeseboard.

Lara walnuts are grown in Veneto, in north-eastern Italy. To make this preserve they’re harvested when young, or ‘green’. Young walnuts tend to be quite bitter, with almost tannin-like notes. When candied in syrup the bitterness is balanced out and they take on a tender texture.

The candied walnuts pair well with roast pork and duck. Also use them to top cheesecakes, panna cotta, or add flavour and texture to a simple baked custard.
