Nishikigoi Large Noodle Bowl, 27cm Japanese Tableware|Crockery & Dinnerware

Fill the nishikigoi large noodle bowl with tonkotsu ramen topped with pork belly and a soy-marinated egg. With deep sides and a sturdy base, this Japanese bowl is perfect for spicy soups, fragrant broths and noodle salads.

The deep blue glazed bowl features a beautiful fish design inspired by Japan’s beloved koi.

Colourful koi (Japanese carp) were once kept by Japanese nobility in ornamental ponds. They are known as ‘living jewels’, thanks to their beautiful patterns and vibrant colours.

You will often see stylised koi designs on Japanese textiles and homewares. The fish are a symbol of luck, prosperity, courage and resilience.
