Discount The Round Chef’s Press, 16oz American Ingredients|Kitchen Tools & Utensils

The round Chef’s Press will transform the way you grill at home. The steel press helps food to cook 20-30% faster by maximising contact with the cooking surface.

Make it crisp (all the way to the edges)

Designed to fit 25cm pans, keep everything covered for an even char. That means the crispest bacon we’ve tried — from edge to edge — without the faff of having to move the press around.

16oz, it’s stackable (with the rectangular presses too), so you can customise the pressure.

Why use a Chef’s Press?

• Food cooks 20-30% faster
• Making better contact with the cooking surface is the key to a golden brown finish and flavour
• Vents allow steam to escape (so everything stays crisp)
• Keep food submerged in brines and marinades
• Perfect for sous vide cooking and steaming
• Stackable to create extra weight on the food
• Use it on your stovetop or the barbecue

The Chef’s Press is 19cm in diameter and weighs 16oz.

The chef’s press is dishwasher safe.
Please note that as of January 2025, the round chef’s press is 16oz instead of 17oz.

About The Chef’s Press

The Chef’s Press was created by Chef Bruce Hill while he was working in a tiny kitchen of Bix Restaurant in San Francisco. The traditional cast iron weights were too heavy for many dishes and also trapped steam.

Hill created a weight adjustable tool that lets food cook 20-30% faster and is vented to release moisture. This one handy tool offers better results with greater ease. Each Chef’s Press is made from USA forged steel and each press is inspected by Chef Hill before being sold.
