Discount Alyasamin Patterned Tajine, 30cm African Ingredients|Pots & Pans

Use the alyasamin patterned tagine to cook the North African classic at home. This striking oven-to-table stew pot is designed for cooking and presenting tagines. Decorated with intricate patterns in deep shades of grey and black, this pot is both beautiful to look at and practical to use.

Using a stoneware tagine is great for:

• Slow-cooking meat and vegetables to perfection. The funnel-style lid lets steam rise, condense, then fall back. This keeps the ingredients moist and tender.
• Stoneware doesn’t affect the taste of the food, so the warm spices and rich flavours take centre stage.

Tagines were created for cooking on open fire, so you might need to use a heat diffuser when cooking on gas or electric hobs. When layering the ingredients for your tagine, it’s best to put a bed of onions first. This stops the meat from catching on the base and burning.

Please note that each piece is individually made, hence minor variations in colour, pattern and texture may occur from that shown in the photo.

This crockery takes its name from the Arabic word for Jasmine, and this is the national flower of Tunisia where these plates are made – and symbolises serenity and happiness.

The Alyasamin patterned tagine measures 30cm.

This dish is both dishwasher and microwave safe.
