Clearance Mineral B ‘Plancha’ Grill Pan French Ingredients|Pots & Pans

The De Buyer Mineral B ‘Plancha’ grill pan is ideal for cooking al fresco. The large, oval-shaped griddle pan is great for cooking scallops, steaks, prawns and more over hot coals.

The ‘Plancha’ requires less fat when cooking compared to other iron pans. The griddles ensure that less of the food is in contact with the pan, which reduces the chances of food sticking. So, with the Mineral B ‘Plancha’ you can cook great dishes with less fat.

De Buyer’s Mineral B range of iron pans are coated with natural beeswax. This provides protection against rust. The beeswax also gives Mineral B pans enhanced non-stick properties on the first use compared to other iron pans.

SEASONING INSTRUCTIONS

The De Buyer Mineral B ‘Plancha’ grill pan requires proper seasoning to keep it in top condition. Before the first use, use hot water and a soft sponge to remove the beeswax coating. Then season the pan – pour in just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan and bring to a high temperature. When a smoky-haze appears remove it from the heat and wipe well with kitchen towel. Now the pan is ready to use.

After cooking, deglaze the pan with hot water and wipe with a paper towel after use. If the pan needs washing, ensure it is completely dried and lightly-oiled before storing. Follow these steps and your pan will build up a dark patina that increases the pan’s non-stick properties. The more you use it, the more non-stick it will become.

This Mineral B ‘Plancha’ grill pan is 49.4cm long including the handles. It is suitable for all cooking surfaces including induction.

Please note: due to the manufacturing process there may be scratches on the inner surface of the pan. This does not affect the quality of the product and will disappear with proper seasoning over time.

NOT dishwasher safe. To prevent rust do not leave to soak. PFOA and PTFE free. 100% recyclable.

All De Buyer Pans have a convex shape to the base of 1-2%. This stabilises the pan during the heating process and prevents the pan from potential warping.
