Clearance Angel Hair Chilli Pepper, 150g Ingredients Brands|Japanese Ingredients

Terre Exotique’s angel hair chilli – ito togarashi – are hot and fruity strands of chilli and a stunning decoration on top of noodles, sushi or salads. Harvested in the Tianjun region of North China, these thin, fine strands of pepper rate 5/10 on the Scoville scale – very strong but not explosive. In Japan they’re called ito togarashi or sil gochu.

Also try the chilli strands over seafood pasta for a kick of heat, infuse in butter sauces and drizzle over seafood, or add to tomato sauces for stews and soups.

Be warned, this delicate chilli is deceptively hot! So be careful to wash your hands after touching the strands, as the oils from the strands will make your eyes burn.

This 150g bag is ideal for catering purposes and professional kitchens – the angel hair chilli pepper comes in opaque packaging, protecting them from light and preserving the fresh flavour, while the flat base makes it easy to store.

About Terre Exotique

Terre Exotique works directly with hundreds of specialist farmers and producers around the world – to bring the very best peppers, spices and salts to our tables. The company was founded by Erwann de Kerros, a Breton and seasoned traveller. After tasting pepper in the Penja plantation in Cameroon, Kerros yearned to try other specialist peppers and spices – and Terre Exotique was born.

The company works closely with farmers to preserve natural habitats, and to ensure a sustainable income for local communities. Each spice is carefully packed in pouches – the opaque packaging preserves the flavours and aroma of your spice, by protecting them from sunlight. So the ingredients stay at their best for longer.
